
According to recent estimates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), autism prevalence among U.S. children has risen to one in 36—or about 2.8%—up from one in 44 (2.3%) two years ago. Autism prevalence is increasing as a result of greater public awareness and public health interventions. There is now a greater likelihood of detecting autism in children at an earlier age, and even disadvantaged areas are improving their ability to measure the prevalence of autism. Learn more!
