Identify the Signs: Language Disorders in Children

Learn more about communication disorders during Better Hearing and Speech Month! First, let's look at the signs of a language disorder.

Most audiologists and speech-language pathologists who work with children ages 0–5 experienced an increase in referrals for concerns about hearing, speech, and language delays or disorders over the past two years, according to a recent ASHA survey. The survey also found that members are seeing an increasing number of children with behavioral, social, and language difficulties, as well as more children with undetected hearing loss.
