Have you seen the new show "As We See It," an Amazon series about three 20-somethings with autism who share an apartment? The actors who portray the roommates are on the spectrum themselves.
Based on the Israeli series "On the Spectrum," and produced by Jason Katims of "Parenthood" and "Friday Night Lights," the series is not a documentary or a biography. A cast of autistic actors plays the roommates as they struggle to land and keep jobs, make friends, fall in love, and navigate a world that often eludes them.
Neurodiverse actors were cast in all neurodiverse roles and some neurotypical roles, and neurodiverse crew members worked in the writers' room, editing room, production office, and on the set.
Amazon offers eight 30-minute episodes through its streaming service, Prime Video. Check it out and let us know what you think?
