Summer is a great time for fun, relaxation, and learning! When children take a break from reading and learning during the summer, they can lose some of the progress they made during the school year. This is often referred to as the "summer slide." Keeping children engaged in reading and language-rich activities can help maintain important literacy and communication skills while school is out.
